Picnic and Ride Start at Forest Park, 701 Cicero Rd, Noblesville, IN 46060

The Picnic Ride features a staggered start so riders are back at Forest Park for lunch at noon.

Please RSVP your intent for the picnic by Thursday, July 14, 2016 to Denise Mattox, 317-345-8074, ottrottrider@indy.rr.com.

Lunch will start at noon. CIBA provides meat, bread, drinks, plates and utensils. Members should bring a side-dish to share. Indicate in your RSVP if you wish to have a vegetarian entree.

Ride routes will go to the east of Noblesville with the long route approaching the western edge of Anderson. Riders for the 42-mile route should be ready to depart at 8 a.m. Later departures are scheduled for the 33-mile route (9 a.m.) and the 21-mile route (10 a.m.) to time arrivals for all in nearly the same time frame. The SAG at the Lapel Schools will be about 10 miles from the rides’ end.

For the long-distance riders: Want to ride more? Ride the 42-mile route followed by the 21-mile route. Or, combine the 33 and 21-mile routes. Ride before and after lunch (no SAG after lunch; convenience stores open in Lapel along the routes)

There’ll be a roving SAG as well that may provide water and other help.

CIBA is pleased to announce a wonderful members’ benefit with the establishment of a RideWithGPS.com club account. This club account will be particularly great for our ride leaders as RideWithGPS.com provides a host of tools to create route maps and cue sheets with great ease, accuracy and clarity.

CIBA club members will be able to view routes and print their own copies of the map and cue sheets prior to the ride events. It’s a pretty slick product that I believe many ride leaders and CIBA riders will like and be pleased to use.

For further information, CIBA members may login to this site, then click the Menu (Hamburger) icon at the right of the blue bar above. Scroll down to Members, then to RideWithGPS.

Read the narrative. Then click on the invitation link found on the page, http://www.cibaride.org/RideWithGPS.
