Saturday's Grand Touring Ride (4/29/17) in Metamora is CANCELED due to potential thunderstorms, heavy rain and flooding.

Due to the forecast for steady rain on Saturday morning, we'd like to save a few hundred bananas a trip to the compost by postponing the Tour of Three Counties until next Sunday, May 7th, at 9:00 am.  - for Tom Schumacker

    Hello everyone!

In addition to the outstanding work that Don Silas and others have done to build a group of cyclists who ride longer distances in a no one is left behind format, the club is also working to reboot our legacy mentoring program.  We have passed the point of admitting our long standing deficiencies and are working to meaningfully move our actions to directly align with our mission statement.

What we are doing:  We will build a group of ride guides who can provide an excellent group ride experience for new/novice/inexperienced riders at a pace and distance that suits them whatever that may be.

When are we doing this:  Our goal is to provide this experience on every CIBA ride.   For this season we have targeted at least 6 rides as a pilot which are Old Schoolhouse Tour (April 15th) , Pedalmentalist (April 16th), Tour of the Boonies (May 21st), Gray Goat Franklin Start of Summer  (June 17th), Nutter Butter (June 24th), and Tri County (July 15th).  More may be added at a later time.

You can help in two ways... Sign up to be a guide or group participant and/or help spread the word and invite people to come to these 6 rides.

It is this philosophy which serves as the cornerstone for the cycling team’s three straight (2013, 2014, 2015) USA Cycling Club of the Year awards, which evaluates not only on-bike performance, but team GPA, retention, post-graduation success, and community engagement. •The Knights, under Peterson's tutelage, have won the last three USA Cycling Collegiate Overall Team Omnium titles as the most prolific program in the country, the Knights won four national championships in the five disciplines with a runner-up finish in the fifth •In 2015-16, the Knights have won their tenth straight D1 collegiate track cycling title, fifth straight CX title. •After arriving at MU and maintaining the success on the track (MU had won eight previous titles), Peterson first built the dynasty that is the road program. He has been quoted as saying the road competition is the "crown jewel" event that most people know the most about. He moved to the off-road disciplines and had immediate success that has maintained.
