Registration

Registration is closed

Beginning between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on August 8 at Cicott Park in Independence, Indiana, near West Lafayette. Note: headlights and taillights are required, and reflective ankle bands and vests are recommended.  Many riders will be riding in the dark for at least part of this ride. This is a randonneuring style ride, but does not require membership in Randonneurs USA, and it is free, but riders must register at www.cibaride.org and sign the release before doing the ride. This is a gravel ride, following a 192-mile loop along the Wabash River, south of West Lafayette, all the way to Greencastle and back, and should be completed in one day (according to randonneuring rules, the ride should be completed in 20.0 hours). There is limited support along the route, so riders should be prepared to arrange their own transportation home if they must abandon. Unlike traditional randonneuring events, riders do not need to have a brevet card signed, but if they finish the ride in the allotted time and convey their results to Bill Watts (wwatts@butler.edu), they will be listed as finishers on the Indiana Randonneurs website. Direct questions to Lydia Trott at 260-446-2196.
